A PC Phone, also called softphone or VoIP software is a multi-media application that works in association with VoiP technology enabling you to make calls direct from your PC or laptop. It allows you to make telephone calls over the Internet using a general purpose computer, rather than using dedicated hardware.
Often a PC Phone is designed to behave like a traditional telephone, sometimes appearing as an image of a phone, with a display panel and buttons with which the user can interact. A PC Phone is usually used with a headset connected to the sound card of the PC, or with a USB phone. Coms.Net has developed its own PC Phone, you can download it for free here.
The ComsPhone PC-Phone installs onto your desktop or laptop computer, enabling you to make and receive VoIP phone calls using one or our recommended headset.
